WANNA IMPROVE FASTER?Hey guys, I dunno if anyone out there is like me, but if you are, you're not satisfied with how fast you're improving. I've been improving pretty fast in my opinion, but that's just because I'm drawing every day. Well it's not enough. Not for me. I need to go faster. I struggled and struggled and couldn't figure it out. And the biggest reason is because I'm self-taught. Now I'm not using being self-taught as an excuse for not improving fast, but no one really taught me how to get better at things like color, light, forms, anatomy, etc. So I just went at it and figured most of it out.I used to paint from photos A LOT to try and understand color, and not long ago I started doing painting studies from life using oils or my cell phone since it's a portable digital painting program. And because of that my skills shot up a lot. But I stopped doing that and started just doing a lot of freelance work and my improvement slowed down.
